Add information to "Scotland for Wildlife Holidays"

Business Listings

Improve the flow of traffic to your own website, and customer awareness of your business or product by adding a Listing on www.scotland4wildlifeholidays.co.uk. If you do not have a website then use the added text and photograph to draw attention to your business and direct customers to your email address or telephone number instead.

All we ask for is a reciprocal link from your website. If you do not have a website, then that is fine as we would still be happy to add a listing here for you. Contact us for more information.

Information and Photos

If you would like to suggest a wildlife site, or provide more detailed information or photos of a site that is listed, then please let us know. Our aim is to build up an accurate and informative source of information to encourage people to visit these sites and to gain more from their visits.

About Us

We own and run a caravan park and bike hire business, plus manage a unique island holiday cottage so have a working knowledge of successfully marketing accommodation and tourism businesses. We have found that a large number of visitors are interested in wildlife, but don't know where to start looking, or what they are looking at! The aims of this site are:

1

Help visitors to Scotland to find the accommodation that best suits their needs, as well as activities and sites to visit to broaden their wildlife experiences.

2

Help businesses with an interest in wildlife and the environment to reach customers with similar interests, who are likely to become return guests.

3

Enable increased interaction and enjoyment of Scotland's wildlife in the least intrusive manner. For example, by encouraging visitors to take organised tours and visit designated reserves.

Why encourage nature lovers?

1

UK visitors who included wildlife watching in their stay spent £500 million in Scotland during 2003. This is a growing market, and the enormous success of TV programmes such as BBC's Springwatch are adding to this interest. (VisitScotland figures)

2

Wildlife watching can be done all year round, helping to bring customers during the quieter periods of the year. Nature lovers and "outdoor types" are less likely to be put off by the occassional rainy days!

3

Visitors that find plenty to occupy themselves during their stay are likely to keep coming back year after year - whether it is visiting every tourist attraction in the area or just watching wildlife out of the window. Encourage guests that make the most of the wonderful scenery and wildlife that all areas of Scotland have to offer.
