Overlooking shore with views of the harbour, where basking sharks are seen in the summer. Although only 13 miles long by 3 miles wide Coll is a varied landscape from wide sandy beaches and rare dunes, to peat bogs, inland lochs and rocky outcrops. Rich in flora and fauna, Coll is home to protected species of birds and flowers. The RSPB Reserve has a small visitor centre and the warden takes guided walks for those who are interested.

Kinlochlaich House is a listed building of the 17th and 18th centuries set in its own beautiful gardens on the south facing slopes of the Appin hills, close to the sea with views to the mountains.  You can stay in self contained apartments in the historic country house or in one of two cottages in the traditional buildings adjacent to the main house. Also, new in 2008, is the Tree House a unique octagonal eco building with a tree trunk in its centre.
